The new Microsoft Edge browser has adopted the Chromium open-source project code base and offers better web compatibility and performance over the legacy edge. For this reason, Microsoft has released a feature in the new Edge to allow users to reload legacy sites incompatible Internet Explorer mode. Some sites that were built to work with Internet Explorer may not work properly in the new Microsoft Edge. If you no longer wish to use IE mode functionality, you should disable it.Microsoft has decided to discontinue both Internet Explorer and the legacy Edge browsers in Windows. Loading the website on compatibility mode introduces the old technology stack under the hood this may lead to hacking. If that happens, then consider reverting it to its original recommended settings.
